10.10.10

Today is another "first" for me - it would have been Mike's birthday and we both thought how neat it would be to celebrate his birthday on 10.10.10 but God had other plans.  For many years we talked about finding a church home but never got serious about it - today my birthday present to Mike was turning in my paperwork to be considered for church membership at LWF.

Today was BEAUTIFUL and after church I came home, changed my clothes, grabbed my digital camera and was on a quest to take fall photos to remember today - and to share the photos with ex-Iowans so they could see the beautiful colors they are missing.  Believe me, my photos do not do justice to how awesome the colors popped today with the sun shining on the trees!  I ended my outing spending time on Mike's bench at Raccoon River Park enjoying nature - literally when a wooly worm crossed my path.  I haven't seen one of those for years and know it means something about winter but can't remember what - but I had fun watching it crawl all over my hand and arm.

As for the little black spider with the two red spots on its back that appeared next to my arm on Mike's bench - I did not enjoy that part of nature.  I was finally able to get it off the bench because I could just imagine getting bit by the spider and then having some kind of reaction to the spider bite - I've had enough reactions to things lately to last me for a while thank you very much :)

And to end the day I started the process of ordering the CaringBridge books of Mike's CaringBridge web site for family members - I figured today was the appropriate day to do that.  I started the process but need to change a few things before submitting the final order.

Enjoy the fall colors below......note.....10 photos for 10.10.10 :)

I think this tree is beautiful even though its fall colors aren't bright.
